Caroline Myss is one of my all-time favorite spiritual teachers, I have read many of her books and follow her on Social Media.
When I read this I thought: Caroline, you hit the nail on the head!
It is so easy to get cynical from pondering current issues like politics, social unrest and the environment – things over which I have little or no control.
So I thought I would post it here as a reminder to stay centered and hopeful.
My prayer today is to not be negative about anything for one day.
It is so easy to be disappointed, critical, cynical.
Nothing is easier than to be a negative person. It takes effort to be hopeful and positive.
People will say that you have to have a reason to be positive – what reason do the poor or lonely have to be positive?
If we all waited for perfect conditions in our life before we felt hopeful, we would have very few days in life to celebrate.
Perfection is rare.
Hope means no matter how bleak, all things can and do change in the blink of an eye.
After reading these words I was humbled immediately. We can be so self-indulgent in our thinking.
Today I choose to keep the door open, so that miracles can still unfold in my path.
People deal too much with the negative, with what is wrong.
Why not try and see positive things, to just touch those things and make them bloom?
An amazing prayer to live by.
