Pasta lovers rejoice!

Pasta is what’s for dinner! My friend and business colleague, David Nekava, posted on social media about finding a black bean pasta that has loads of protein and fiber, without many of the nutritional downfalls of semolina pasta. It sounded too good to be true, but I’m an open minded individual and respect David’s knowledge in nutrition, since he is a trainer and looks amazing. I went ahead an ordered the Organic Black Bean Spaghetti Low fat Organic Gluten free Vegan Kosher The Spaghetti provides 27% daily value of protein, 48% of daily value of fiber and 36% daily value …

The eerie phenomenon of Across The Ravaged Land

October is Halloween’s month, a month when we start seeing decorations of witches, pumpkins, bats and mummies. In that spirit, I came across a stunning yet haunting Photographer’s work that looks like is straight out of a horror film. Across The Ravaged Land by Nick Brandt, Brandt’s striking and sublime “DARK” images are taken near a still body of water in Tanzania with a deadly secret—it turns any animal it touches to stone. The images of calcified creatures pepper the area around the lake due to its constant pH of 9 to 10.5—an extremely basic alkalinity that preserves these creatures …

As someone who works in the beauty and fashion industry, keeping your skin looking young and healthy is very important to me. Lip treatment for Red-Carpet Ready Lips

Our lips need just as much care as the rest of our skin. Unfortunately despite all they do for us, they are often overlooked! They don’t have the same oil and sweat glands that help protect and cleanse the rest of our skin, and they get constantly exposed to irritants from our food and drink. Fortunately, Motives has some fantastic lip treatment products to help us keep our lips healthy and vibrant. STEP ONE: In order to keep our lips looking great, we want to first exfoliate them to get rid of any dry, chapped skin. We also want to …

My team and I went to work identifying a great (and cute!) venue to host our Motives for La La Pop-Up Shop. One of my partners, Elyse Briefman, had been prospecting a beautiful boutique in Cooper City, Fla., called Beso Real. After explaining the concept to the owners, they were very excited to host and helped come up with some great ideas, like beautiful chocolates and candy bars, hors d’oeuvres, and an amazing selection of wines. The day of the event, my team did mini-makeovers on some of our guests, and everyone had a ball. Beso Real’s owners were so …
