My favorite story of 2013 is the Bat-kid story!

After looking back at the News Stories of 2013, I have to say that my favorite one is the Bat-kid story. The Make a Wish Foundation and San Francisco pulls a “conspiracy of kindness“ to make a wish come true for Miles Scott – a five year old kid who has beaten leukemia. One of the reasons I picked this feel-good story as my favorite one of 2013, is because America came together around one thing. Perhaps we can’t figure it out on politics or anything else; but when it came to Bat-Kid, America pulled it together to make a …

Taking Risks and Entrepreneurship – Interview with Seth Godin

Is 2014 the year that you take risks? Is it the year that you go for your goals- with the approach of the cost of failing is greater than discovering what works or what doesn’t? I love this interview with American author, entrepreneur, marketer, and public speaker, Seth Godin, where he discusses trying out new ideas, taking risks and entrepreneurship. Is the year where you go for it without being afraid of failing, or worse yet being afraid of what other people would say if you do fail. One of the things I like the most about this interview is …

Be the guardian of your thoughts

We’ve heard it many times: what we think about, we attract.  It is important to pay attention to what we’re thinking, not to beat ourselves up when we think of something negative, but to deliberately keep our focus on having a great day. Recently I came across a paragraph from one of my favorite inspirational speakers, Les Brown.  I thought I would include it here to help you – the way that sometimes I need help – on continuing to create this extraordinary life. Be the guardian of your thoughts “Avoid head trash. Don’t be a garbage can for anything …

Quote Theraphy – Mark Nepo

Today I share with you some quotes and excerpts from Mark Nepo’s book entitled The Book of Awakening Having the Life You Want by Being Present to the Life You Have. “We waste so much energy trying to cover up who we are when beneath every attitude is the want to be loved, and beneath every anger is a wound to be healed and beneath every sadness is the fear that there will not be enough time. When we hesitate in being direct, we unknowingly slip something on, some added layer of protection that keeps us from feeling the world, and …

Gratitude is the best Attitude

Gratitude is the best Attitude Is it just me — or is this year going by really, really, REALLY FAST? I can hardly believe there are only few more weeks left until 2014. Almost time to start setting new goals and strategic planning for the New Year. Before we do that, I think this is the perfect opportunity to carve out some time to be grateful for what we have accomplished. Even if you didn’t quite hit your destination, still you are not where you were at the beginning of this year. Be grateful, reflect on what you did accomplish, …
